The 2021 Ladies Fish for Freedom tournament is a GO!!

Hello Everyone!

First we would like to give recognition to our 2019 winners Heather West & Deb Jeffers, with their first place win they receive free entry into this years tournament!
CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!

This email is to provide information for the August 14th, 2021 Ladies Fish for Freedom tournament.

With the need to restrict the amount of personal interaction there will be a new registration format. The registration form will go live on the website on May 1, 2021.  All registrations will be completed and submitted through the website.  All registration fees will be by e-transfer only and registrants will be placed into their flights, and will be given team numbers, when payment has been received, NOT when the registration is submitted.  If you do not send your fee, you will not be entered into the tournament.

This will be the new format going into future years.  You will no longer get an email with your registration form, or as a reminder to register.  The form will go live every year on May 1, and will stay active until the date of the tournament OR when the tournament becomes full. You will also find any information about the tournament on the Website.  The rules will be read aloud and posted to Facebook and a printable copy will also be available on the website. A copy of the rules will also be given out in the registration package… Please read these carefully!!!  It is the responsibility of the fisherwomen and captains to familiarize themselves with the rules, and to show up prepared to follow all rules outlined.  There have been a few changes and additions to the rules, and any questions pertaining to the rules or to the tournament can be sent to this email, or through the Website.

There will NOT be a Friday night rules meeting/supper or Saturday results and prize presentation. 
Registration packages will be distributed on the Friday night, August 13th, by a drive through/pick up process, location and times for this is yet to be determined. Results will be uploaded to both Facebook and to the website, after they are finalized, but the exact process has not been decided.  With so many things uncertain with COVID restrictions, at this point those details can not be finalized.  These decisions will be made closer to the tournament date, and will be posted to our Website and to our Facebook page.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that this tournament is a fundraiser. There are NO paid volunteers, and there is no personal income created.  All of those that volunteer are doing so with the intent to raise money for the TWIN LAKES TRAIL BLAZERS CLUB. We have attached a short newsletter about The Trail Blazers Club, which gives a summary of what the club has been up to.  We feel it is important to outline what this club provides to our community.  In the past, a small portion of the proceeds from this tournament have also gone to a women’s charity.  All of these past donations can be found on our website and Facebook page. But the main purpose of this tournament is to raise funds for the Trail Blazers Club.

We are really excited to be able to host this tournament!  We look forward to seeing all of you in August!
